Saving Jamie

My friend wrote a book called, Saving Jamie and it is amazing!! (but not published)

Its a romantic, heart breaking, and touching story about a girl, Jamie, who's mother has died and her dad sent her to an orphanage when she was little. Now she is 17 yrs. old and off to her 5th foster home in her 6 yrs. at the orphanage but she doesn't know that she will gain more than a foster mom and dad. She is a very troubled girl with a rough past so she is quiet and keeps to herself. She has one friend, from the orphanage, Preston he is 17 almost 18. At the park Jamie sees this guy she thinks is really hot and he winds up being her next door neighbor, Luke, he is a very popular boy and Jamie doesn't think he will want to hang around her. But she is dead wrong, they wind up being really good friends and eventually start dating later on. But most importantly Luke leads her to a new best friend, Jesus. They go to the park every day to read out of Luke's Bible and they grow closer and closer. Well her life seems to be going alright except for the fact that every time she leaves the house (which is very often) she neglects to tell her foster parents where she is going and that gets Peter her foster dad very upset. Every time she comes home he asks her where she has been and when Jamie doesn't answer he smacks her. So she thinks to herself its not that bad one smack a day is okay. Well one day she and Luke decided they would try to find Jamies birth dad. A couple weeks later Luke finds out he died in a shooting. Jamie is devastated so devastated she leaves her foster home to go back to the orphanage to spend the night there. Well once again she didn't tell her foster parents. Peter was furious when she got home so he smacked her harder this time and grounded her to the house and threatened her that if she ever set foot out of this house again she would go back to the orphanage. So Luke decides to come over to her house every day to read with her even though she cant go outside. After a couple days of that she asked Jesus into her heart, the next day she decided to go find Preston and tell him the good news of her becoming a christian. She finally finds where he lives now (he had turned 18 and once you turn 18 they "kick" you out of the orphanage) but he has changed and she doesn't like it he isn't happy for her decision like he usually is when she chooses the right stuff. So she goes home and as she sneaks back into her room she runs into Peter who is furious once again. But this time he does more than smacking her, he kicks her, punches her, throws her, pushes her, and more. She is laying on the ground bleeding when they hear a knock at the door, Peter rushes away from the door right as it creeks open. Its Luke! He calls out to Peter so that he knows Luke is there when he finds Jamie on the floor hurt. He rushes over to her and by then Jamie is going unconscious from hitting her head on the door handle, the next thing she knows she is in the hospital all bandaged up with Luke by her side. Fey (her quiet foster mom) tells Jamie that Peter has been arrested. In the end Fey adopts Jamie and Jamie gets baptized and they all live happily ever after. Jamie was saved by Gods grace.

I didn't mean to go this long but it is an amazing book! I am still trying to convince my friend to publish it even though she doesn't like the book. I will keep working on it let me know if you are interested in reading it if more people are interested she might give in and publish it.

Gotta have faith

So Friday was my birthday and I thought it was going to be boring but boy was I wrong!! I had so much fun, my grandparents and my great grandpa came up to visit. We went to Port Townsend and had so much fun! The sun was blazing and there was a nice breeze. It was almost like God was walking on earth with us blowing on all the wet stuff and drying it out and making it bloom. We went to a park as well, I felt like a little kid again. I didnt need to make sure I looked cute or whatever I could just be goofy. Hehe I fell off one of those teeter totter things. For dinner we met up with some friends at Buca Di Beppo<33 I feel like I "predict" stuff alot and I think stuff is going to be boring but I am always dead wrong. I just need to trust that God knows what he is doing because he most definatly does. I just gotta have faith. God loves me and wants my life to be amazing but the only way for that to happen is to follow HIS plan not mine. Cause so far my plan has sucked......... alot.

Thank you Jesus for this life you have given me and for my amazing family and friends. Without their support and yours I would be lost like a little sheep without a shepherd.

Be careful

There is a song that I sing to my "little sister" Hannah, "Oh be careful little eyes what you see, Oh be careful little eyes what you see, for the Father up above is watching down with love, Oh be careful little eyes what you see, Oh be careful little ears what you hear, Oh be careful little ears what you hear, for the Father up above is watching down with love, Oh be careful little ears what you hear." It goes on three more times "be careful little feet where you go, be careful little mouth what you say and be careful little hands what you do." Hannah asked my what that means so I explained to her what each verse stood for (as best as I could).

EYES~ Be careful what you watch, are you always watching a TV show or movie or even reading a book that is glorifying to God? EARS~ You know those jokes that are "so funny" but wrong, as in if your mom knew you had heard that joke and chose to listen she would ground you? You need to be careful with jokes and now a days especially song lyrics, they may seem funny or cool but if they are wrong, then they are wrong period you shouldn't second guess whether or not its okay to listen to an inappropriate song, because if Jesus wouldn't listen to it neither should you. FEET~ This one was a little harder to explain because of the fact that Hannah is 8, if your mom told you to stay in your room, stay in your room! But for older kids it may be, "You cant go to that party" then you sneak off and go anyway. MOUTH~ Swearing, BAD! Lying, BAD! Mocking someone, BAD! Spreading/starting rumors, BAD! Talking back to your parents, BAD BAD BAD!! There are many more examples of  bad stuff that comes out of your mouth like, dirty jokes, inappropriate songs, and much more. HANDS~ Don't hit people, don't do acts of kindness just so you can get praise.

This song stands for more than just your physical body, to be a christian you must do everything to glorify God. Use the saying wwjd and switch it up a bit, wwjlt = what would Jesus listen to, wjltts/j = would Jesus listen to that song/joke, and you can have fun yourself coming up with other ones.

I am still working on all of this myself, there is always room for improvement

All good gifts

Okay so  I am in a music and drama program at my church called J-Force and we are currently doing a musical production called Godspell ,which is so old my dad was just a kid when it came out.  So I have been doing J-Force plays for about 3 years now and I have done 4 plays, Godspell being my fifth, I love it because J-Force has something for every kind of talents it has singing, dancing, acting, and if you are not the spotlight kind of person you can even work back stage. So I was trying out for a solo today and I wasnt sure which one to try out for, I did a song called, Day by Day and started off horrible I was flat at first then was off key and that made me oober nerveous (and this is not my first time singing in front of people obviously) and the choir directors said I should calm down and take a breath so I did and tried singing Day by Day again and it went well. But I was supposed to try out for two solos but I wasnt sure which one I should sing as my second song so the choir director chose a song called, All good gifts, which is a really high song and Im only a second suprano so it was quite difficult, so I prayed and asked Jesus to comfort me and help me not be nerveous and that his voice would come out of me. Well it worked Jesus comforted me and I sang to the best of my abilities. After I finished the choir director told me I did very well but I needed to practice hitting the notes and I added that I need to practice praying and letting Jesus take over everything in my life, not just when I am nerveous, scared, or hurting. Because Jesus loves me and wants to teach me more........... thats all for now, ta ta!!

new at this

Okay so I'm new at this whole blogging thing so if I do something wrong sorry,

So I'm doing the 30 day challenge with my best friends and the only thing I'm struggling with is the reading Romans 12:2 twice a day every day, because it is hard for me to read something that I know I'm supposed to do but yet I still don't do it. It says I'm not supposed to conform to the world a.k.a. I need to stop doing world things such as blending in and so on.
